But i know it is part of life. WIthout death, life isnt as meaningful. My grandparents are both way up there in their years and we know its only a matter of time before they finish living. :/ But I know they live well and are happy and healthy now and that is what is important. Instead of Vista telling you that you need administrator access like it does with other items, it just gives you the "Windows was unable to complete the format" error. Go to Control Panel--> Administrative Tools--> Computer Management--> Disk Management, and do it from there. Vista will ask you if it's okay to run Disk Management and allow you administrative rights. Then you can format the drive without a problem... Hope this helps...
